The hidden gem of Cockburn Street
Welcome to the Edinburgh Press Club – the home of good vibes, and even better provisions.
You can find us on Cockburn Street, in the Old Town, Edinburgh, just off the Royal Mile and a few minutes walk from Waverley Rail Station.
The Edinburgh Press Club partners with local suppliers to offer a range speciality coffees, teas and seasonal specials which are freshly prepared to order from 8:30, each morning.
We run a brunch menu from Thursday – Sunday with a variety of options for those who have dietary requirements. If brunch isn’t what you’re after; we have a variety of fresh pastries delivered in the morning by The Company Bakery – as well as a selection of cakes and desserts.
Allergen lists are available in-store. We operate on a small-scale so some dishes may be unavailable when you visit to avoid excessive food waste.
Edinburgh Press Club History
The Edinburgh Press Club is a coffee bar with a difference. The building is steeped in history dating back to the 1800s when it was purpose-built as an office and printing works for ‘The Scotsman’ newspaper. Advertising and publishing offices were situated on the ground floor and this is where the Edinburgh Press Club is located today.
Around our store, you will find photographs and memorabilia paying homage to both the building and the original Press Club. Our team is happy to tell you more about the history of our store!
